Fresh, clear spring water from the mountains of Hida-Takayama and the finest Japanese sake rice combines to from the base for one of the world best Vodka. the unmistakable mild note is given to the Okuhida Vodka by a unique production method: high-quality rice is first processed into a fermented brew that is similar to Japanese sake, but prior to the usual storrage method, the brew will be trippeled distilled. The resulting rice vodka is then storred for at least one entire year, and then filtered through white birch carcoal.
The craft brewery Okuhida-shuzo is located in the middle of Gifu Prefecture and produces only a few thousend bottles a year.
